A Gentle Nudge
One afternoon I was painting my bathroom. I was wearing socks without shoes. Before I stood on the countertop, I heard a voice say, “Put your shoes on so you don’t fall.” I dismissed what I heard because I didn’t want to stop. I was on top of the counter when I started to fall backwards. As I was starting to fall straight backwards, I felt two fingers on my back pushing me back up so that I was standing upright.
Invisible Hands
I have an antique secretary that has been passed down through our family for generations. It is very heavy and comes in two pieces. My brother was helping me move it and we were trying to get the top piece set on top. I was struggling immensely. I could only lift it to a certain height because I didn’t have the upper body strength. We tried several times to lift it high enough to set it on top of the base. We agreed to try one last time. All of the sudden, when I started to lift my side, it started going up! It was wild! It’s as if there was an invisible pair of hands on it helping me. I yelled to my brother, “It’s going up! It’s going up!”
